Mitt Romney will be the next vice president of the country

I am challenging DeadPresidents on this one because he thinks he is the best debater on this sight. Lets see if he is.

Mitt Romney is a true conservative. And he is the only one out of all the major presidential candidates who has experience running businesses and a state. (because he was a governor of Massachussetts)

Conservative Republicans hate McCain and will not for him even against the Democrats because is really just a liberal in disguise. But we would vote for Romney. And lets be honest. McCain is old and will probably die soon anyway, so who we vote for for vice president is gonna be the president anyway.

First of all, without saying a word DeadPresidents wins this debate. Majestic is assuming the Republicans will win, which is only roughly a 50% proposition to begin with. There are also a lot of stronger VP candidates for McCain that Romney. Sorry to butt in here, DP, but it's kind of funny how people make it impossible for themselves to win and then complain when they don't get votes.

Sorry Majestik, but while Romney does have the experience, he is disliked mostly by the same groups that dislike McCain. Teaming them up would be a very bad idea politically. Personally, I think Pawlenty is going to get VP. Conservatives will vote for McCain if for no other reason than to not do so would be advantageous for Hillary or Obama.

I don't know Ariyel the main conservative constituency that has a problem with Romney is the evangelical bloc. Romney would shore up support from other conservatives disaffected with McCain, and has independant support, can we imagine what would happen should Michigan or Massachussetts should vote Republican in the National Election. I think he'd be a good choice, however this debate does presume a Republican win in Nov.

I am not accepting your challenge Majestik, not because I cannot debate this issue, infact I think it's interesting, but because I believe your reasons for challenging me are personal and malicious contrary to the spirit of debate that I believe in. You say you challenge me because I think I am the best debater. I don't know what gave you that impression and why particularly you. I do believe that your premise of your debate is flawed, but I do think there are other people who would be happy to accept your challenge. Thanks for the interest but no thanks. Majestik, I will decline officially after a few days, when I believe you will have read my comment directed to you. I fear if I click the decline link now the challenge might disappear without you seeing my refusal to partake in it, noting that I have never declined a debate before, so I don't know what will happen if I just click decline. Good luck.

DP, you declined to finish a debate you were losing, and that's a lot worse.

PB stands for Puppet Bullshit. You are fighting DonkeyDude's battles and you wont let it go. This is because you are lonely and survive on this site by creating filthy alliancies with the people you perceive as strong. I think DEADPRESIDENT was being silly not to finish that debate with DD, but its not your place to nag him for it. We all have moved on, maybe its time you did and stop being obsessed with this issue. I suspect you live alone and you have no emotional support. Get a girlfriend. You are too much of DD's puppet, even if he does not want one, you continue to being a brainless **** (bit*h).

Puppet Bullshit, have you started a decent debate lately?

Morg, I agree Romney would shore up some of the conservative base and McCain could use the help on that. McCain isn't doing too well with evangelicals either (he has been trying to woo them lately - using terms like "godd**n" probably won't help him) due to his hazy positions on marriage and abortion. I wouldn't mind Romney as a VP, but someone like DeMint or Blackburn would be better to stabilize the conservative base.

POST, you need to seriously relax. Your last debate about not pulling punches combined with this nonsense is hardly fitting for someone want to intelligently add to the debates. Schoolyard taunts and name-calling are childish and pointless.

POST, I think PB is just upset because he feels strongly about the cheating/manipulation that has taken place on this site, and he now thinks DP is guilty of it, in part because of his debate with me. I don't think his mentioning that debate has anything to do with "fighting my battles," as I personally don't really care anymore. I beg of you all to just stop talking about it. I guarantee you that anybody who has manipulated the votes on this site (or excessively talks about it) enjoys seeing people get riled up about it. The leaderboard is bullshit, so let's just stop talking about it and I predict that it will take care of itself. The childish crap that has all but ruined this site will die down when its perpetrators get bored.

Yep. POST, your rants just make you look successively weaker. It's time you started showing that you can be a better role model, especially for that daughter of yours. (BTW, I've already explained why I haven't started a face-off in a while, although I did accept one a few days ago.)
