Hillary is in no way going to win after her comment about Kennedy.

There is no need for that kind of remark in politics. Her comment made no sense to begin with, even after her explanation of it! And she didn't even actually apologize for it. It was a non apology, apology!

I did not find the comment offensive. I said in a previous debate that anything can happen. We have to consider the "what ifs". Rudy G. went through all of the "what ifs" as NYC mayor and it paid off when the worst did happen. Are we not allowed to say that something bad could happen? You really don't know... in todays world never rule out anything. Being prepared for the worst can't hurt. I see no problem with the comment and I think many people will agree with me. She shouldn't have to appologise for thinking about the posibilities. She can still win, especially if her "comment" comes true.

It wasn't that it was necessarily offensive, but the fact that no where in her entire emphasis on why she was still in the race, had anything to do with the assassination. It had no reason to even be in there the way she put it in her speech, or discussion. Her biggest reason for saying what she said was because he was comparing the two, for running the democratic primaries into June. Then she should have said that. That Kennedy's primary ran into June, not that he died, to make people sub consciously think that maybe, just maybe she might have a thought in her head about Obama's safety.

Many people are saying this election has parallels to the 1968 one so this remark is not outrageous. Although her campaign is suspended, she could always step in if something happened. Who knows, all it takes in one crazy person with a gun. Remember Ronald Reagan (R.I.P.), even with Secret Service, he was shot. I think she has thought of obamas safety. She is a Clinton and she wants this nomination badly and although she would think an obama assasination would be terrible, she would be more than happy to step in!

Yes, it is because she had no reason to bring up the assassination! She could have talked about the campaign. Not the shooting. And yes, I do recall that, but the fact is she would be happy to step in and I believe that maybe, just maybe, people might put the two together and even if it is in the back of their mind, they would still relate Hilary to the killing, if there ever was one because she wanted the presidency so bad. I don't think she would ever do something like that, and I say that as a republican, but I believe that others, would always subconsciously wonder, what if...

5 months remaining for the next argument...

Too bad Rudy G. lost terribly in the primaries, spending tens of millions of dollars, and he recieved barely a handful of delegates. I guess "what if"s don't work when you're running for president?

I give gopdiva props for actually taking on this argument. But the truth is that most people have come to concensus that Hillary could not win even before the Kennedy comment, so it will be tough to argue that she still has a chance.

Hillary lost the race long before she made this remark though it is the one defining remark that will be in the history books long after she is gone. How very sad that a life will be defined by a mad grab at power that resulted in the thinking that leads one to stay beyond the leaving in the thought that someone might die. The woman has totally gone round a bend that the majority of us can only fear.

You both don't seem to have understood the comment. I don't know what makes that news, especially given the fact that it was understood out of context. Even Obama understood it. I think you need to get over the issue. Enough division mongers in the party. This is the time for unity.

The thing she was talking about in that comment wasn't about rfk it was about JUNE!!!!!!!! she in no way made an offensive comment. is she not allowed to talk about the u.s.'s history anymore? She did not make a comparison between obama and rfk getting shot, she was talking about this campaign isn't something new, because many nominees have rapped up their nominations in JUNE.......JUNE, JUNE!!!!!! That is what she was talking about, and anyone who doesn't understand that is either not reading the facts or didn't listen to what she said in the video clip, and just got their info from the Obama-adoring media..............JUNE!
