The fact that an independent candidate gained almost 20% of the popular vote shows how powerful this man was. Bush's incompetency, imitated by his even more illustrious son, would have been superceded by the fresh-faced politics of Ross Perot, who had the biggest 3rd party influence on an american election for many years, and if he had not withdrawn from the race for the brief period, he undoubtedly would have won, after leading with 39% in the opinion polls, 8% more than his nearest candidate

I don't think Ross would have been more effective than George H Bush. Although most Americans were very impatient with Bush senior due to lackluster economy, evidence showed that most of his economic policies end up paying off after he was voted out of office. Ross is a good business man but might end up being a terrible administrator. Being a business man doesn???t mean he can run the country.
I think Bill Clinton benefited from Bush's fiscal policy, although, America people never gave him credit for it. Also, Bush's foreign policy was far better than his son. He cleaned up after Ronald Regan and checkmates the influence of Sadam in Persian Gulf???

I believe if he were elected, we would see the issue of abortion eradicated, but the view of abortion as more acceptable, based on Perot's "Pro-choice" stance.
Further, his stance on homosexuality would have had equal effect. America may have been seen as a more "liberal" country these days had Perot been elected.

DonkeyDude, it seems you not only enjoy a bit of clinton-bashing, but also accusing ME of bias! You have no proof that i "incresed my own votes", so until you actually get some concrete evidence, i suggest you "quit yo jibber jabber"!

even if you did increase your own votes than you know that there is no way for him to provide you evidence. that is why you tell him to provide some because you know there is no way he could. It makes you look more guilty because you asked him to do something that you know he can't do. like when a murderer asks a cop for evidence when he completly got rid of any and all evidence of the crime. think about it.
