Condoms and more sexual education should be available to you younger generation

If younger males and females are available to condoms and sexual education it will help the crisis we face today as the countless amount of teenage pregnancies within the UK continues to rise.

I don't know if you're trying to trick the American population on this website, but I've lived in England. Through ages 11-14. I've had ALOT of sexual education given at school, and condoms were everywhere, I remember walking into a bathroom at a super market, and they had a condom machine in there too.

I wonder how old you are, it seems that adults think that if younger men and women knew the consequences of sex then pregnancy would fall therefore in order to decrease teen pregnancy, you would try to increase what is already given and make available what is already available. The truth is, we teenagers, already know the consequences of sex. Everyone knows there is a huge chance of getting pregnant if someone has sex without a condom or without the use of birth control pills.

Even the use of condoms can still get you pregnant, did you know that? There are microscopic holes in condoms, big enough for a few sperm cells to get through.

The only thing that would cease the rising of teen pregnancies, are the people themselves. They would have to make a choice, just as we make a choice to tell the truth or being provocative.

Lets be honest here, we will never be able to stop teenagers from having sex as it is part of growing up and a both male and females will be curious. However, there is no reason for curiousity to ruin the rest of your life, i'm not saying that having a baby is a bad thing; just having a baby at such an early age can and will effect the rest of your years, lots of hardwork is needed and it will be stressful. I undersdtand that you USED to live in the UK however; times have changed.
Yes condoms are available in toilets, perhaps more condoms in more toilets maybe appropiate and also to prevent emmbarrisment the condom machines could be inside the cubical, I am a teenager myself and speaking from personal experience i have found it emmbarressing to buy condoms.
I didnt no that fact about condoms. However me not knowing that proves my point in that more sexual education is needed . The last time I had sexual education was several of years ago now and my body has changed so much physicaly and mentaly.the figures show that more sexual education is needed The UK's teenage pregnancy rate is the highest in Western Europe and costs the Government an estimated ??63 million a year.

Since you didn't know about that fact of condoms, then why promote its distribution? Condoms would promote more sex promoting more possible unplanned pregnancies. And we all know sexual education has little effect of a teenager's decision of having sex.

Therefore your entire approach of trying to reduce teen pregnancy is wrong. Where did you get that figure, and do you notice that it disproves your theory of spreading condoms and sexual education would decrease teen pregnancy? For there is sexual education and condoms in alot of places, yet it has such a high pregnancy rate?

the bbc web site and you've just made no sence
i'm sorry but i live in the UK you dont i know wats going on in our colleges and schools as i am stil in college.
Give children more education teach them about the facts and less people wil get pregnant.

I've made no "sence"? I don't know "wats" going on in your country? I'm sorry, I somehow must have forgotten that the U.K. is so completely different from anywhere else, that people won't be able to aprehend it's problems without actually living there since they were born.

I know sexual education is available, and so are condoms. So what you truly want is not expressed in your argument, and your expression simply needs a lot of work to make it sound convincing.

So, Britain has a higher teen pregnancy rate than the rest of Europe, huh. I wonder what their doing in Europe that makes it different.

Look at the staggering decrease in teen pregnancies in Africa because of abstinence education, as well. In nine African nations where abstinence-education has been implemented since 2001, the average decrease since then has been 61%. Perhaps you have a better argument claiming that in western countries, or specifically in the UK, abstinence education is not as effective; but that isn't your argument, as you merely cite the UK for statistical purposes, not as the basis of your argument.

Pit Bull - I can't find the statistics that you cite and wonder if you could clarify which countries you refer to and whether they proffer abstinence as a part of their sex education programme, or as the whole of their education programme.

Bizzle YOU ARE AN IDIOT LOOK AT YOUR FIRST SENTENCE! `If younger males and females are available to condoms` this makes no sense, read your damn debates before you post them!

Bizzle's grammar and spelling are appalling. If you're trying to make a legitimate point at least use decent English. You are writing on a computer for God's sake; use a spell checker if you really cannot grasp the English language.

Ok, bizzle you made a great all mighty balls of yourself, you oppose homosexuality because your a "Christian" and I assume of evangelical or catholic origin to do so. Yet when it comes down to condoms which are opposed by catholics and evangelist's you allow them. Are you actually aware of your own religion because from where i'm standing you don't.
