I have always believed in the dream ticket, whoever would be on top. As I realized that Obama was an inconsistant, flip-flopping opportunist, I decided that in fact, the dream ticket was not going to be a good idea.
Joe Biden is a great person, dont get me wrong, but he doesn't bring the winning factor, but will be useful when Obama is already in office given his experience in Washington. It is interesting that his campaign was about change and staying clear of Washington insiders. Interesting he decided to choose Joe, a well known Washington insider.
I think as part of her legacy, Hillary needs to be on the sidelines (outside the ticket) and support Obama like all. Given what she has done for Obama leading to the convention, I think her public profile and ratings have shot up. She is the only possible option in 2012 should Obama gets defeated. As an Obama VP, she would not be able to rise then.
For the record, I hope Obama wins and I will vote for him, only because he is the closest to my beliefs.
But if you look at the new polls(CNN) McCain 78% and Obama 58% in Handling responsibility. Anything is possible.

First of all, I don't get you're argument. If he did well not to pick Clinton, then why will he live to regret it? Second, I think Biden was a much better pick than Clinton. Anyone who is the least bit conservative isn't going to vote for a black guy and a woman. Obama definitely needed a white male. It sucks that thats the case, but it is. Nothing is perfect. Third, Biden has a ton of experience and knows more than anyone else about foreign policy. He's exactly what Obama needs. He makes up for the lack of experience and he draws in some blue collar voters.
Hillary will be a lot more effective as a Senator than as a VP and if Obamma does loose, she'll be much more effective as a candidate in 2012 than if she was on a losing ticket. Especially if, God forbid, she has to run against Palin as an incumbent. Horrible thought that! We all wish John McCain a long and fruitful life and will double our prayers for him if he becomes President.

Report Offensive Commentphilpee2, what Florida means is that sometimes the right political decision will not always be the most popular. If Obama were to pick Clinton as VP, it would be a surefire way to win the presidency. Nonetheless, Clinton probably would have killed him. Seriously. (Am i the only one who remembers Travelgate?)

Hej, Why can't I vote for a Colin Powell, Condi Rice ticket should one have arisen, just because I'm conservative. Whose racist now?
