Obama

ummmm ricecakes, don't you need to make a statement? I mean... unless you think it will be argued out in the comments, you're at a disadvantage for practically giving up one argument

Palin is quote, "McCain is the one we need to leave.... mhhmm lead." Freudian slip anyone?

Palin simply did not answer questions straight. She flashes that perky robotic grin at the camera and delivers some right-wing soundbite - "Barack Obama will raise your taxes!" "Freedom isn't free". I've never been able to figure out precisely how invading Iraq, a country that posed no threat to the United States, very little to Israel, and was a counterweight to Iran in the region, defended American freedom. Just me I guess.

This debate is not only a good one but here is the real truth about OUR Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, she is speaking from the way a white woman sees the pictures of a world she wants to be rosy, sparkly, and great. In all actuality the world is not as safe as we would like it to be. If you are NOT in a household that makes over $50,000.00 a year than it's harder for you and your family to worry about the basics that a paycheck will or willnot cover. Now put yourself in Alaskan Natives shoes(boots), and realize that Rural Alaskans are not going to go bed in a warm house this winter with all the luxuries that we take for granted. All the costs of living have gone up, not just gasoline but food, medicine and cleaning supplies. Alaskan families are moving into the biggest city in Alaska,Anchorage because of these fears...SCARY! WHERE IS OUR GOVERNOR?

I would give minimum the win to Joe Biden and possibly even the knockout for his rhetoric to Palin's maverick overtone. She also lost ground when demanding she was "tolerant" instead of rather accepting of benefits for gay partnerships, stating that she thinks her future position should hold more power and not to mention eluding to America as no longer a free world. I guess she was isolated up in Alaska from realizing that we are a democratic united nation under the sun and we freely choose to support one another by understanding and, not allowing, but accepting our differences and not being tolerant of but active in favor of equality for all under the constitution. If God forbid McCain does get elected and anything happens where Palin becomes our commander in chief, I'm sure she'd think too that the American President should have more "authority" if i may...we are and always will be a Democracy: aka a democratic-republic (and people wonder why a two party system is nearly inherent in our sytem) where we democratically self-govern???answer me this...what???s not free in that?

An afterthought... What happens when we deplete the national reserve of our precious fuels that Palin/McCain are so ready to tap into and push? What environmental effects does that raise for homeostasis and cyclical weather? But their not looking that far into the future... not even the 10 yrs (Biden claims, if its true) that it would take to get a single drop of oil while the oil companies are getting the tax breaks...u tell me what happens then!

Biden, but in a closer contest than I had anticipated. He kept her backpedaling and drew her away from being "folksy and sweet" at the beginning to having to defend many questionable votes and statements that her running mate has made. The debate seemed to consist in large part of what John McCain, rather than Barack Obama, has done, hasn't done, has voted for, or has voted against.

PSS... McCain is not the "maverick" that this country needs for change. The Obama/Biden ticket started with change and will not just talk about but give our country and our citizens the change that we so desperately need. It is our duty to pass on the word and take action!

Palin reminds me of a female Bush. When she opens her mouth, I'm afraid of what will come out. I respect her as a woman for accomplishing so much, but I think she bit off more than she can chew. We need intellegence and experience in the white house. Obama and Biden bring both to the table. Please stop entertaining this possibility of Palin as V.P. McCain made a great mistake when he put her on the ticket!

Sarah Palin memorized her topics better than expected but there was no substance. People really need to think long and hard about there decision on 4 Nov. It is really scary to think that John McCain and Sarah Palin maybe the next President. It appear neither one of them have a real undertanding of the World for a Domestic or International perspective. They need to face the fact that we are fast a Global society and there is absobutely nothing they can do about it.

Palin is a boob.... she speaks in bumper stickers. She's a total ZERO. She rambles on with memorized sound bytes from the Bush administration. And she is NOT a maverick. What a fool.

I have not decided who I will be voting for. With that being said, did everyone watch the same debate as I did? Palin refused to answer the majority of questions asked of her and instead stated sound bites. Senator Biden won hands down!

I was voting for McCain before today. Now I'm going for Obama. I can't imagine my 44 years old sister whom only been office less than 10 years to lead country..this is real scarey. Yes, Obama maybe less than 10 years and lack of experience too. But, I trust Mr. Biden can be good mentor as time goes by. I feel bad about same sex marriage tho. Surprisingly, they both agree. I think Palin needs more study on McCain's history. WHAT A SAD DAY FOR ME...

SP has been tutored all week, intensively, for this debate and this is why she did much better than expected. This is also why she had only "rote" answers or no real answers to many questions. She studied hard for this test, but not enough to be her real self. She could only be the puppet of the Repub machine. Also, she couldn't get the general's name right...mis-speaking twice. I have a feeling after cramming for this test, she'll soon forget alot, as most of us do after cramming for a test. Kudos to her cause she did much better than some expected, but not good enough. I think it is time to set a goal date to leave Iraq and stop spending the billions of dollars we are spending there, instead, using the money to build up America....our home land! I think we do need to drill, but we need to invest in alternative energies. I think abortion is a personal decision as is same sex marriage. If you don't believe in abortion don't have one...if you don't believe in same sex marriage...don't marry someone of the same sex. I love the idea of the rich paying more taxes and having less loop holes to avoid taxes. I wonder who is taking care of SP's down syndrome baby while she is doing her thing? SHE has money to supplement baby's care....unlike many parents of down syndrome children who struggle financially. NOPE....she needs to be home in Alaska, not Washington DC!

Joe Biden won the debate hands down. Sarah only showed that she is good at remembering the stuff they crammed into her head. But the women refused to answer the question that the moderator put to her, so this is why she lost and she doesn't understand what she was talking about, or she refused to answer because she didn't know the answer.
