do you belive we should rebuild new orleans do think the goverment should help with the funding or the city of new orealns.

i belive we should rebuild new orleans and bush did not do anything for the people of new orleans they waited THREE DAYS to be saved and i belive everybody should be treated equel and then they would fix new orleans

I think the people should. The government needed to help in the begginning, but now New Orleans is really getting back on track and is functioning quite well. I went there a year ago for my brother's graduation (he went to Tulane University)and it was fine. A few potholes here and there, and there were quite a few houses that needed a fixing up in the poor sections, but everything was moving along and there were tons of charities and organizations that were helping it. Hopefully this new Governor will agressively pursue charities and suggest plans, but not be too active in the actual planning. New Orleans is coming back, and it's almost back completely.

i think we should of done a better job when hurricane katrina hit if they were differnt race maybe if they were causion they would help right a way and i really want to help them anyway as possibly

Well, as I was saying, the government should have done a better job in the beginning. If that's what we're arguing, then we agree on the same points. But if we're arguing that they should still help now, then I feel everything's right back on track. We should help them through charity, but the government helped already (albeit much too slowly), and now it's up to the people to rebuild.

10 months remaining for the next argument...

Im for the people building, with as much backup as state and local govts can provide. Plus I think that if the people rebuild, then they will appreciate it more. (Also, they will not shortcut on rebuilding the locks)
