While it's true that Obama's campaign has been swamped as of late with scandals involving advisers, most important for Obama's political fortunes is that neither Goolsbee nor Power have ever worked at the senior levels of his presidential run. Because of this, he can distance himself from their comments.

Please witness what happened to Ross Perot during the 1992 Presidential election. He was in the running to win, but in the end he lost because of flip-flopping. Many people dislike having the people they vote for campaign for one policy and take the opposite course of action when they are elected. This is not somethong that will fade from the mind of the American public.
Well, Binary is wrong because he stated Perot as an example, he was not going to win.

This debate is going no where. But I thought maybe I should add my two cents in anyway. I blieve Chet is right, but for the wrong reasons. These scandels won't and haven't hurt Obama because the media is on his side. WHen the media is on your side, you will win 100% of the time!
