Thanks to the invention of the stirrup, a medieval knight could make full use of the force of a horse???s powerful charge, turning their lance into an armor-piercing weapon. Unfortunately, the lance would go so deeply into the enemy???s body that it was difficult to remove.
Riding around a battlefield with a dead body stuck to their weapon did not appeal to the knights. So they tied rags near the tips of the lance, which prevented the lance from being driven too deeply into the body of the opponent.
The warriors then began to decorate these rags with the herald of the lord for which they were fighting. These decorated pieces of cloth, waving in the wind at the end of the lance while the knight was riding or while the lance was planted upright into the ground outside their tent are what we now know as the flag. The heritage of the flag is that of a necessary accessory to the technology of warfare at the time.
We are well past the days of stirrup-using lance-carrying mounted warriors. Let's be contemporary. These days, in our churches, our schools and other public buildings, we should replace the flag with tactical nuclear weapons.

Let's be realistic, you say? Let's remember that in the early and high middle ages, a charging knight with a lance was one of the most deadly forces on the battlefield. So, in the interest of being maximally realistic, we should instead replace the flags with chemical and biological weapons, advanced lasers, sharks with laser beams on their frickin' heads, and Chuck Norris.
Why do you want to repress the American people so much by limiting their power to simply tactical nukes? Fully-armed ICBMs should be available in a convenient place just underneath the pulpit or teacher's desk. The American rights to bear arms and to free expression of opinion should not be restrained is such an unconstitutional manner.

As a nation, we can only fight, live and die for only one flag -- albeit in this case, a tactical nuclear weapon.
Each state can, as they do now, decide on their own flag/warfare technology symbol, whether, as you say, chemical or biological weapons, advanced lasers, sharks with laser beams on their heads, or Chuck Norris.

Your attempts to limit each state's allowed firepower is completely unconstitutional and morally wrong. If each state isn't protected by at least a full armament of nukes and biological weapons, then the QUEEN OF ENGLAND will be able to come into YOUR HOUSE and tell you what to do! You don't want that, now do you?
We need to prevent our country from being repo'd while stopping Great Britain's oppressive dictatorship. Have you ever been to London? There are tea shops on every corner! The American people will not stand for this, I tell you!

Your concern about London is well put and inspires a future debate: Starbucks should play SEX PISTOLS God Save the Queen exclusively in all stores worldwide until she ends her reign. But back to the matter at hand.
A call for all flags in US public buildings to be replaced by tactical nuclear weapons is not a limit my friend. If your only objection is that, you have misunderstood this debate. As already noted, each state can, as they do now, still decide on their own flag/warfare technology symbol in addition to the national one of a tactical nuclear weapon.
Are you so much an anti-federalist you would deny America the great unifying symbol of its majesty and might, the thermonuclear device, in all public places...and OK, out of concern about the Queen, all java joints as well?
