Clinton seems to suffer from the iullusion that the government's resources are infinate. I have seen every one of her speaches on t.v. and I have heard her talk about universal health care numberous times. The one thing that is hardly ever mentioned is the nation's budget. In my opinion, Health Care is possible only after the budget is balanced and money is set aside for health care. All I ever hear is how we need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Isn't reducing our dependence upon foreign financing equally as important. The United States needs to work hard in the next decade in order to become self-sufficent.

Your understanding of budgets and how they work is shocking to say the least. Firstly you claim to have listened to the Senator's speeches on TV. Let me suggest you read the texts of her speeches and plans, in that way you will get the unmediated detailed versions of her plans and not the edited soundbytes that tend to mislead people with reading phobia. I supposed you support Bush and McCain $2 Trillion on war instead of a few billions on Health. YOu must also look at the reduction of foreign oil argument against the environmental argument she is making pro-bio fuels and other inovative ways of coming up with solutions. Your last statement is basically lifted from Senator Clinton's speeches where you say "the US needs to work harder in the next decade in order to become self-sufficient". So make up your mind, are you debating for the sake of saying something or you have read well the positions of the three candidates and formed and firm position? Yngster, its time to grow up.

First of all, I have watched all of her speaches and I am yet to hear how she plans to balance the budget. Obviously ending the war is the key to balancing the budget but if you end the war, which I don't oppose, and replace it with a health care plan than we are still going to be overspending 1.5 billion per day. In order to make her Helath Care Plan work she is either going to have to shut down hundreds of military bases overseas, which I dont oppose, or borrow money from China and Russia.
Second of all, I am aware that Clinton supports alternative fuel. I was not arguing that she did not have a realistic plan to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, I am arguing that she does not have a realistic plan to reduce our dependence on foreign financing. How does Clinton plan to pay back the national debt? Enlighten me.
Third, it is ironic that a Clinton supporter would tell me to make up my mind considering that Clinton is the one who cant make up hers. After all, this woman is the one who is probably one of the most wishy-washy canidates this country has seen in my lifetime. Clinton loves to flip flop. She says one thing and then backtracks and says another.
It's humorous how Pat presumes only television/sound bytes can be edited carefully to sway an audience for political purposes. Printed words can do the exact same thing.

Report Offensive CommentThanx yngster, I supposed now you will take some time off to read about Sen Clinton, and not make up arguments based on rumours and perceptions.
