I live in Hastings, PA...very small town...not even a traffic light. I was not offended by what Obama said because his words rang true. I am frustrated and even bitter about many things concerning our economy, health care, and Iraq. What middle class person isn't a little bitter every time he or she fills up at the pump? Maybe you are happy to dish out $50 bucks at the pump. In much the same way, I am angry that I am paying more for inferior health care. My two children of 6 and 4 yrs of age aren't even fully covered. They used to be covered, but rising costs have squeezed them out. Also, I am certainly frustrated with where things stand in Iraq. $400 million a day! That's just the monetary price tag of this war. What's the going rate for 4,000 lives?
Obama was dead on with his comments. Wake up Washington.

My conclusion about this thing is that Obama is the bitter guy. He is very intollerant and gets irritated when people ask tough questions. I've seen this guy in action, he is just WEAK. He is comfortable when he is surrounded by people who say things he wants to hear.
The reality is that the context of his comments were to an elitist group of his campaign funders, in a private event that he thought no one would find out, and clearly he had led his guard down and that was when he was most vulnerable. The last person you want is a guy who looks down on the poor small guy like me, and still hope to get my vote. It just looks like a Mugabe for me. I'd rather stick to Hillary.

~he thought no one would find out~ Come on. With today's media, what candidate would be naieve enough to think that anything said in public would stay private. There was no expectation of privacy. He was speaking to a group of people who had each donated $2,300 to his campaign, not 23 million. The man simply did not elaborate on a point that most PA people feel was true anyway. It was vague and poorly worded, not offensive.
As far as being "WEAK"...this is a man who most consider to be the best political speaker of our day. Obama spurs people into action using a symphany of rhetoric that most politicians would kill for. Why do you think Clinton got elected and re-elected? It's because he was an excellent speaker. Now Hillary, who's not as gifted in that department, says Obama only has words to offer. Holy sour grapes! You are willing to back a liar in Hillary (the whole sniper bit and false Ohio med story), but you won't back a guy with a vocabulary that is willing and able to bring the two parties together so that we as a country can solve the many problems that we face today.
To me, Hillary is wiiling to say and do almost anything to get back to the White House.

I am bitter about job loss in America I think most Americans have their heads in the sand if they really believe that Hillary Clinton can bring back their jobs and make the economy better. How can you vote for someone who campaigned for NAFTA and made money off the Columbia trade deal? Someone please explain this to me Please? I thought at one time if Obama didn't win the nomination I would vote for her, until I heard the lie about Bosnia now I question everything she says. She and her husband in the last 8 yrs have made over 1mil and Obama with his pay from his books has just paid off his school tuition, no I don't think he is an elitist, I don't think Hillary is an elitist either but she certainly is a liar. I don't know that I would feel comfortable with her in the White house when that 3 am call came, would she even know who it is calling or make up some story about it to make herself look good? Hummmmm
