IF OBAMA CLINCHES IT... McCAIN WILL GET ALL CHRISTIAN VOTES INCLUDING HILLARY'S....

Lets face it... Obama is a liability for the Democrats, he had to paddle off a lot of things that were just unneccessary. Race, Drugs, Religion, and this latest small town nonesense. He keeps attracting these things that are difficult to get rid off when it comes to Republicans. I listened to him on the CNN Compassion programme, he hasn't even made up his mind about the abortion issue and he is running for President?, shocking!!

I just think that the McCain voters are waiting to welcome Hillary's voters as soon as this guy gets the nomination. They know that there are fundamental differences between him and the Dems when it comes to Christian values. He will loose and McCain will reign.

The logic, as well as the facts, behind your argument are fundamentally flawed. Religion is not the main motivating factor for Democrats, Obama has made a decision about abortion - he's for it, and there are always differences between Democrats and Republicans on "Christian values", it's nothing new.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCifpbfQlOM

Look into the 1960 election of JFK, he was a Catholic, and was elected to office in a Protestant country. Also look at Romney, granted many people talked about how being Mormon would hurt him, he won Michigan, a significant and nearly Mormon-free state.

Obama, in the same way that nearly all Democrats have since Roe v Wade, has taken the side that abortion should be legal, this is nothing new, the sky is not falling, stop acting as though it is.

Linked to abortion are the "Christian values" you brought up. Again, nothing new. Republicans have taken a stance to allow students to pray in schools, while Democrats want to ban prayer in schools. Republicans want to protect a fetuses rights, Democrats claim to protect a woman's privacy. The list goes on and on.

Again, Obama is not drastically different enough to give McCain the Presidency.

I'm a true Democrat and would like that the supporters of the looser rally behind the winner. At least that's what I'll do. However the reality is that he is a liability that a lot of Dems are starting to realise. I must correct you, he has spoken on abortion but has not confirmed a position on it, thats not my point. here it is. Obama is the most vulnerable against the Republican machinery. The negative things that came up during the campaigning were due to his fault, and no one else. He is the one who was recless both in speech and in actions. Now he claims that Hillary is throwing Kitchen sink at him.

I dont need to tell you that over and above Economy and War on
Terror, Religion will equally be the Republicans talking point and the holes that exist on Obama in this regard are going to be exploited.

He will do nothing but cost us the white house and grant the Republicans a third term.

If this debate is going to be rational, you need to stop pulling a Hillary and admit that you simply made something up. Saying it's "a woman's right to choose" is a definitive choice, clear and simple.

I still do not see the basis of your argument. McCain has publicly said he will not support a Federal law/Constitutional Amendment banning gay marriage, so it's not as though he's a radical religious figure.

This debate is about whether or not "IF OBAMA CLINCHES IT... McCAIN WILL GET ALL CHRISTIAN VOTES INCLUDING HILLARY'S...." You have failed to prove this, mis-stated well known facts, and have tried to cloud this debate with other issues.

The '08 election will most likely have the traditional "religious right" voting block, however it will be nothing new, and by no means will McCain receive the votes of every single Christian.

So if you understand the topic, what is your difficulty? PA proved that Obama does not carry the religious group. The demographics there tell us that Hillary carries this group.

McCain and Hillary may not have differences on religion, but Hillary is outspoken about it, while McCain chooses to keep religion as a private matter. Obviously this leaves the religious group guessing.

Obama's challenge is to completely clear his name when it comes to the accusations about muslims etc (true on not true it doesn't matter). We know his religion, he has confirmed it many times, but against McCain, the issue may be raised to distroy him. His father was muslim, so they will find a way to link him with it. If he overcomes that one, he'll be the toughest candidate in history.

How can you claim that Obama's religion is a private matter? Of ANYONE, his is the best known, especially after Reverend Wright.

You said that if Obama wins, McCain will get the votes of every single Christian. You have not shown that in the least. I have proved that Obama is nothing new as far as religion in the Democratic Party.

You have failed to prove your argument as valid, regardless of the fact that the "Hilary-humpers" here refuse to concede my being right.

PEACE&LOVE, you should download Mozilla Firefox. At least on my computer, it has a built-in spell-check function. I don't say that to be rude; in fact I agree with what you say above, but people tend to elevate form over substance in debates, especially online, and I think it would help you articulate your points more persuasively.

If Clinton supporters vote for McCain in the election, they must have racial bias in their political beliefs. The two platforms are nearly identical, and voting against your beliefs just because he had some negative points in his campaign means you are either stupid,or prejudiced against the other candidate. I thought that, as a nation, we had moved past this bigotry, but clearly I was mistaken.

...or they don't like Obama so they vote McCain. Quit trying to play the race card, it's been done to death.
