There is no way the Democrats can win the White House.

Barack Obama vs. John McCain will be a matter of experience not only in Government but also Military experience. Maybe even experience with drugs, Obama would sure win that one!

Hilary Clinton vs. John McCain is a matter of honesty. The Clintons have a gift of being able to look people in the eyes and lie to them. John McCain is the conductor of the Straight Talk Express. He will not lie to the American people.

Both of the Democrats have had scandals that will effect them in the Fall. McCain had one scandal that he got over very quickly.

And if GOD FORBID there is a terrorist attack on the United States, there will be a wave of patriotism. People will rally around McCain and he will win. Oh and Clinton and Obama will likely have torn apart their party so, they will already be weakened.

And, Democrats are great at screwing things up. On paper the Democrats have every advantage possible but in really many factors will keep them out of the White House!

The democrats have every opportunity to take the White House. The D-Nominee (whoever it is) will try to paint McCain in a very negative light. McCain has four main weaknesses which the democrats will try to exploit and thus gain the white house.

Firstly- McCain has honorably accepted the burden to continue his fight for the war in Iraq. Anti-war america will rally around the D-Nom and fight to take McCain down. This can be a very powerful argument, depending on perception of Iraq in October and November

Secondly- McCain is turning 72 this August and with D-Nominee going to be under ~62 the democrats will try and post up a picture of an aging McCain who cannot respond or think as clearly as one in their youth. This will work particularly well with people under 30

Thirdly- McCain is a Republican. It's sad, but true. If the 2006 elections revealed anything, it was that public perception of the Republicans was poor.

Lastly- With the economy slumping, McCain will have to prove he understands economics better or as well as the democrat. If the economy is worse in Nov. the dems will pounce on McCain.

I'm not saying McCain has no chance, but I am saying the Dems have a shot

I read that Al Qaeda's "#2" said an terrorist attack on western natoins is in the works!" I am scared by that and i think that the American people will be too! This is a frightening time! The democrats are too busy attacking each other to attack McCain on his lack of knowledge in the economy. Romney understands the economy which is why i feel McCain will choose him to V.P.

Currently McCain is resting and going on tours. He getting ready for a general election. Obama and Clinton are not focussed on November, they are too busy attacking each other. They had negative ads attacking each other for being to negative! The more they attack each other, the more voters will learn about them. They will learn the good and the BAD! They will have destroyed each other long before November. Every day this race goes on they are doing damage. Many Clinton supporters would vote McCain or stay home rather than vote Obama. Same with Obama supporters!

A few months ago it seemed the Republicans had no shot, not anymore!

McCain is one lucky guy!

8 months remaining for the next argument...

McCain has been tied to a very controversial scandal well before the supposed relationship with a lobbyist came up. The "Keating Five" it was called. He is also prone to using bad choices of words such as saying that he was alright with staying in Iraq for 100 years or that he is not really an expert when it comes to the economy. Obama's drug use is probably not likely to hurt him that much. didn't hurt Bush all that much and besides McCain was a pretty heavy drinker when he was young. the whole thing about a terrorist attack can't really be used in this debate unless you are assuming that it will indeed happen between now and November. McCain's got a shot, maybe even some momentum at the moment, but he is up for a fight.
