For example: Arnold Schwarzenegger somehow becomes president. Through a means available only to Arnold, he discovers that France's Sarkozy is actually an evil robot from the future with designs on traveling yet further back in time and killing Ronald Reagan in the womb.
While Arnold has shared this information with a few, yourself included, he knows that most people won't buy it, and that the only way to defeat Sarkozy is to invade France and remove him by force.
So, president Schwarzenegger tells the people that Sarkozy has weapons of mass destruction, and there seems to be public support due to the claim. You don't feel great about the misleading pitch, but you like the end that it's accomplishing. Do you let it slide? I say yes!
IamFry i appreciate the sarcasm and the twist off of our own debate, we'll see how you do. GWB would have to know that it was false for it to be a lie wouldn't he. however considering how easy Clinton got off for PERJURY (not simple lying) maybe you have a point.

Report Offensive Commenti would go see that movie. and donkeydude, france is a nuclear power and supposedly a time travelling power that can go back in time and kill people in the womb. pretty sure you don't want an evil robot controlling it. Easy solution though. Just send Sarkozy more supermodels and he'll be content.

Report Offensive CommentDonkey- we don't overthrow every hostile leader because not every hostile leader is an evil robot (and not every evil robot is a hostile leader), duh!

Report Offensive CommentOk, Morgan; we'll have that debate another time. Clinton's lie, perjury or not, didn't result in thousands of Americans DYING! That's an important difference between the Clinton scandal and the Iraq war. As far as Bush "lying" goes- I don't think he made anything up, but he heard what he wanted to hear and nothing else, and that's terrible negligence, tantamount to drunk driving, an act that Bush is familiar with.

Uhh, this is retarded. Why don't we just go around and overthrow every single robot -- I mean, hostile leader -- in every country then?
