Well first of all, explain what you mean by religiosity? The dictionary describes it as being excessively devout. Our current president is hardly an excessively devout Christian.
George Bush is a Catholic I believe? Do his policies actually support it? No. All he's done is claimed that gay marriage shouldn't be legal because God told him.
I think Democrats should actually do more than George Bush. They should actually let their moral compass lead them instead of lobbyists and political moves to maintain their voter base.
