This is not a debate. Please do not accept it. I will remove it after a couple of days. I just want to try to quell some of the craziness that has taken place on this board over the last few days.
A lot of these debates have gotten fairly personal, and a lot of people are understandably upset. Some people feel as though they've been ganged up on, and some people are presumably on this site just to incite trouble. I do not deny that I've contributed to this, and I've made my peace with (most of) those whom I've gone after.
Let's try to put all of that behind us and get back to the reason that 98% of us signed onto this site in the first place: lively debate about politics. Let's not post topics whose sole purpose is to bash other users.
Let's not create 30 accounts and vote for ourselves (or anyone else) many times just to d*ck somebody over.
We're all here for the same reason, so let's be mature and refocus all this energy and keep it about the issues.
With respect to voting fraud: It sucks. But let's stop reacting so strongly (posting comments, etc). It's done to get a rise out of you. Don't give the culprit the satisfaction of getting all up in arms.
Thanks for listening.

sorry i accepted, i will forfeit this later on if you wish. though tell me, you said 98%? who do you think are the 2% who didn't join this sight to do lively debates, i'm interested to know. but i think i recall your comments, i think it's these people:
JWise
Alexon96
theyoungdem
P&L
proudofsmalltown
me
you all think we are the same people? honestly...

No, you are confused.
I do not LIKE debating the people you just named (other than POST, whom I look forward to debating at some point). I never said that they were all the same person (I do not think that, but I have had my suspicions about one or two), and I never said those people were all here to cause trouble.
My "98%" comment was not literal. I meant to suggest that I assume that all but a couple of us are here for legitimate purposes. It is painfully obvious that there has been some vote manipulation on this site, which - in conjunction with the craziness that ensued - is why I posted this statement. I do not purport to know who is the culprit, although I would point out that just because the vote manipulation benefits User A, it does not mean that User A is the culprit. My statement was a call to return to fairness and civility.
I interpret both the fact and the essence of your "rebuttal" above as a rejection of that call, but that is your prerogative.
DD, I don't think there is anyone who is here for the right purpose who would disagree with you. I commit myself to joining the efforts of cleansing this site because I appreciate its value. But to be fair, if one is bold enough to publish a list of people s/he wouldn't want to debate, they should also state that they don't want their votes. I have people I just think do not excite in debates, but I am careful in how I address them because I need their attention in order for me to persuade them. If I dont apply emotional intelligence when dealing with them, I may offend them and never get their attention in my arguments. Remember, other people vote with their hearts, while others vote with their heads. Your message is very clear though, and I would like to call upon everyone including WEAREEQUAL to understand it in context, and not take your e.g's literally. DD I've been busy lately, but promise to finish our debate on Marketing and Advertising.

Report Offensive CommentI mean I promise to finish the debate. (I have a feeling that it may not have been captured clearly in my previous post)

Report Offensive CommentI'm not one for drama (online or otherwise) and I've really not paid too much attention to the "politics" of the site. Cheating in something so trivial as an online debate strikes me as ludicrous, but that in itself doesn't bother me so much as the obvious effects it will have on the voting system if it continues. Frankly though, I just wish everyone would just concentrate on debating and have fun with it. I mean, what is debating if it isn't fun? Productive? Ha.

In the spirit of not accepting this debate, i'll refuse to vote, even though it would go to the non-paranoid, seeking-peace canidate.
