I have observed the race with interest. The two candidates are not prepared to give up and hand the nomination to the other. Currently it looks like Clinton will not make it to 1024 delegates that are needed to get the nomination. But she believes she can. Hillary believes that she still has a chance at that nomination, if she can convince the Superdelegates. She has created a well experienced and extremely connected team that is busy talking directly to superdelegates under the leadership of Nancy Jacobson, former Clinton strategist Mark Penn???s wife, who in her own right is a political heavyweight. They believe that in the end, tables will turn.
She remains the most tenacious candidate that more than anything relies on hope that Obama will stumble and stay down at some point while she maintains a firm grip on her states and lures more Superdelegates. He on the other hand remains weak when it comes to religious groupings, women, whites, pensioners and workers. There is no president that has put all his eggs on the student's basket. He is still to argue that he has a plan for Iraq, abortion, crime.
"She stumbles but gets right back up",HC he crumbles and collapses.

Firstly, the headline is misleading, you read it and think... WOW, someone has brought something new to this forum about the Presidential election, and then you find out that the argument is just the recycled old junk about the two Democratic candidates. Its OK, lets debate this anyway.
I don't think you've told us how Hillary Clinton will get to 1024/5, either than making a case to the Superdelegates, who at the moment seem to be jumping to Obama ship in droves.
If you want anyone tenacious, then look at Obama, as no one gave him a chance to get this far, let alone going beyond the Feb Supertuesday.
Her speech from Ohio, about stumbling and getting right back up is tired now, and you are providing no reasons for your suggestion that Obama crumbles and collapses. From the last time I checked, he was still standing and on the lead.
This is just Clinton's politics to destruct him from the race and focus him and the American people on what the Clintons are doing.
I will be here when the race concludes, and Hillary will be hanging her head in shame. However, I hope McCain beats the hell out of Obama in the General election.

You must understand that I am not a Hillary fan nor did I vote for her in my state. I just think the other option is just incapable of taking the party and the country forward.
I think a lot of Obama people have continued to play victim at any chance they get, especially when they get to be under pressure. Let's start here, Obama had the chance to denounce Rev Wright in Philadelphia, but NO! He had to play it safe in case he needed him and his congregation. (He distanced himself just yesterday, I say too little too late)
He lost the debate a few weeks ago because he couldn't articulate his position on Iraq, and Taxes.
He continues to raise questions about his strength and toughness. His people say that its because they are still fighting another Democrat, hence going soft on the opponent. I think that's a lame excuse.

I would like to hear how her people will deliver victory for Hillary. To this point I have not heard that not from you and not from your people. Obama is leading in everything, Hillary is trailing and that is the reality and the facts. Its not enough to say he will lose because he is "weak", I'm sorry but that is just crap.

I did not seek to argue for Hillary here, I clearly stated that she will win not because she is strong but because she is running about a candidate that is weak.
I question a lot of things that Hillary is claiming to be able to do or has done. I am simply stating that Barack is just another candidate that has recycled the same Bill Clinton 1992 slogans about change and hope.
He remains someone whom everyone would vote for because they are tired of George Bush, not because of what he stands for. Senator Clinton is the worst here, but if Americans should vote between Hope and Change that is vertually unknown, and for Someone they have dealt with before and who puts up a better and tougher fight, they will go for Hillary (the latter).
Dems and Americans are looking for someone who can beat McCain. Obama has been granted a lot of opportunities to prove he can... in all these he has proven to be just another guy that the Republicans will run over and get an easy victory.

Firstly, Bill Clinton's campaign was not rooted on change but on hope.
Secondly, Both Clinton and Obama want Americans to vote for them as a vote of no confidence on Bush's policies (hence both are positioning McCain's campaign as the continuation of the Bush Administration).
I think the argument you are forwarding about people voting for someone they have dealt with instead of Hope and Change that is unknown, is rather unfounded, so lets drop that one.
I am trying to understand your argument about Obama being just another guy Republicans will run over and get easy victory.
Finally, I am rather shocked at how you have made statements that are based on nothing but perception, insinuations and guess work.
Thanks for the confidence papabear, but how do you vote for me even before I post my argument? I would like to win this because I present a better argument, not because I accepted a debate against someone you would like to see suffer a defeat, or because you have strong opposition to Hillary. Looking forward to a good one.

Report Offensive CommentWell I think both arguments are weak lol. Don't worry mine are normally weak too. But yeah both arguments here are weak. Also you both think its in the number is 1024 or 1025? Where have you guys been, if you both have been watching these primaries, then you'd know the number is 2025.
theyoungdem | 04/28/08
Report Offensive CommentI have stated that its 1025 (basically noting that POSTs number may not be correct). This number has changed in more than two occasion, it was at one point 1024 as a result of resignations of some superdelegates and then changed back to 1025 because of the appointment of new ones. I dont understand your point? clarify yourself.
DEADPRESIDENTS | 04/29/08
Report Offensive CommentClarify myself? Clarify yourself, my stating the number: "1025", do you mean the number to get the nomination? I said the number is 2025, because it is. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/29/delegate.counter/index.html You and POST both are clearly not even paying attention to the race, since if it was 1025 or 1024, then you'd know that both Obama and Clinton would have gotten the nomination by now since the both exceed that number by hundreds of delegates. You two go read and watch some news. You both are off by 1000 delegates...not very accurate.

this should be cake for dead presidents. Obama has the delegate lead, while clinton holds a SLIGHT superdelegate lead The people are supposed to choose who wins the nomination. This is about the PEOPLE coulter c u n t. If the super delegates override the peoples decision, this is no longer a democracy.
