FOR PARTY UNITY, OBAMA MUST PICK CLINTON FOR VP, EVEN IF THEY RESENT EACH OTHER.

After this bruising pramary season, the party will be torn apart. Its the candidates duty to unite it again. I would have like Hillary to win and pick Obama. Now that things look like Obama will win, he must consider her than anyone else, especially given her excellent performance and fighting spirit. McCain will not stand that combination. Even if they don't get along or have differences, they must do it for the Party, to avoid feeding on the disgruntleness of the losers's supporters.

Why would anyone have as part of his general election campaign a bitter Clinton that has not honestly conceded the race, even after Kentucky and Oregon. Hillary is dangerous for Obama camp, he does not need her.

1. Hillary can sabotage the campaign so that Obama is defeated by McCain. This will give her another chance to run in four years. She will be 64 then, still within a good age to run.

2. She believes she is one of the most powerful Dems, especially after the primaries. For this reason, she will not be a good subordinate, instead she will give Obama a tough time running the country and may not want to take orders.

3. Obama needs someone who was never part of the system, otherwise his message of Change will be diluted. He needs to pick someone fresh like him with no political baggage. She is not that person.

4. If Obama wins and she becomes his VP, that counts her out of the future races for the top job. By 2016 when she can run again she will be almost 70 years old. That is a problem... she will be too old, and Republicans will do anything to avoid a 3rd term for Dems.

She is just not good for Obama VP. Edwards or Kerry can do a better job.

Dead, you obviously had time to finish your debate here on 5/10/08. You should finish the one with DonkeyDude, too. You've been kinda quiet for a few days there.

That debate is not evergreen. It was based on the PA primary and was speculating a lot of issues. Because it was time bound and now that PA has passed, our opinions about what's going to happen in PA doesn't matter anymore. If you or DonkeyDude want to challenge me on fresh issues, you are free to do so, provided I'm comfortable with the subject. I'd like to confirm that I will not be continuing with that debate as it won't make any sense. Sorry about that.

I meant NC not PA.

Dude, if you started it, you should finish it. Man up.

Didn't see these comments til now. PB, thanks for the help. But let me fight my own battles, lest POST should start saying you and I are the same person (kidding, but I'm honestly surprised that hasn't happened yet). DP, it is generally pretty weak to start a debate and then bail when you're losing in the vote count. But I understand; that 100% ratio had a hold on me too until I lost my first debate (although I never backed away from one).

And why did 4Gore forfeit this one? Interesting..

DD, I'm not fighting your battle for you. We just happen to agree, and I like seeing people finish what they start. I said that of my own accord.

I feel you. Thanks. For the record, I think 4Gore and DeadPrez are the same person. This is lunacy. Nobody just forfeits like that, over and over to the same person.

DP, our debate has nothing to do with PA. Nice try. Chickens.hit

Nor strictly NC, from what I can see.

Oh yeah. Didn't see his second comment.
